Sharon lived in Dimmitt, Texas until graduation from Dimmitt High School in 1980. She went to night school and was employed at several companies through the years, the latest being AIG. Sharon enjoyed 70s and 80s rock’n roll, alternative, and pop music. She loved reading, watching crime shows, her puppies, and collected unicorns. Sharon was a Baptist and practiced her religion in her own way. Sharon’s proudest moments were watching her kids grow-up to be successful adults with Bear becoming a nurse, Jackie being in the Army soon retiring from the military next year, and Stacy working as a receptionist at People’s Federal Credit Union.  Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and watching them excel at everything they put their minds to along with visits out of State with Jack and Jessica Womack.  The family extends deep appreciation to Sharon’s best friend who never wavered with faith and support, Judy Wheeler, along with Harriett McKinney and Vickie Young.  Many thanks to all the friends who visited and provided comfort through difficult times.  Also gratitude to Jess Womack, former husband and lifelong friend, who never left her life with continued support in many ways.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Mary Derryberry, her older brother Billy W. Derryberry. Sharon is survived by her daughter Stacy Tucker of Amarillo who took loving care of her in her last years. She also leaves behind her son and daughter- in- law, Jackie and Jessica Womack of Clarksville, Tennessee and son and daughter- in- law, Bear “Casey” and Maria Womack of Independence, Missouri. Also siblings, Billy M. Derryberry Jr, Sister Linda N. Tucker and her husband Toby Tucker, granddaughters Katie M. Vick, Julie B. Vick, and grandson Eric W. Vick. Niece, Melinda Moon and nephew, Jaret Tucker.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 1910 Medi Park Dr., Amarillo, TX 79106 who provided care equivalent to angels for our treasured mother.
