Rob Lee Chaney

Rob Chaney age 65 of Amarillo was unexpectedly called to Heaven on December 27, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Rob was born in May 23, 1957 in Newton, Iowa to his parents Albert and Sherry Chaney Jr.  He graduated from Walnut Community High School in Walnut, Iowa.  Rob moved to Amarillo in 1992.  He worked for National Home Care as a patient representative from 2005 until 2015.  In 2015 he began his job as a rail crew transporter for BNSF where he worked until his death.

Rob was a big jovial guy who was always joking, smiling and cared for others. He shared his knowledge and talents by teaching others how to shoot or ride.  He loved being on the open road on his bike, said there was no greater feeling. 

He also enjoyed reading, especially Louis L’Amour, and he loved to play his train game.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a half-brother, Kenton Chaney.

Rob is survived by his son, Jordan and his wife Sabrina of whom he was very proud; his sister Sheridan Chaney of Chicago, Illinois; a half-sister. Lori Chaney of Los Angeles, California; and his granddaughter Elexia Chaney.
