Modesta Martinez

Modesta Martinez, 45, of Amarillo died January 4, 2023.

Public viewing will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur.  Funeral services will be on Thursday 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Angel Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home. 

Modesta was born July 20, 1977 in Dimmitt, TX to Maximiano and Lenora Martinez. She graduated from Tascosa High School and West Texas A&M in Canyon. Modesta was stubborn and she was fierce in everything she did. She had a beautiful smile with deep dimples. Modesta loved family gatherings, the smell of bleach and cooking, her specialty being her banana pudding. She adored her grandchildren and Tejano Music. Modesta worked at Jax Transport at the time of her passing. She was always playful and accepting to anyone she met. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Modesta is survived by her loving husband, Alex Valle; daughter, Kinna Frazell; son, Brennan Frazell; stepson, Anthony Valle; brothers, Lucil Martinez, Hector Martinez, and Maximiano Martinez, Jr.; and grandchildren, Adalyne Montgomery, Eleanor Montgomery, and Greylynn Soto.
