Maria Teresa Koetting

Maria Teresa Koetting, 60, of Amarillo died May 4, 2018.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 7, 2018 in Angel Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St., Amarillo, Texas 79103.

Maria was born April 10, 1958 to Pedro and Margarita Escobedo Garza. She graduated from Wellington High School and attended Clarendon College. Maria married James Koetting July 6, 1990.  Some of Maria’s favorite times were spent crafting and preparing for the annual family reunions. She worked for Hobby Lobby for 20 years.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Koetting, five brothers, Alex, Pedro, Raymond, Juan, and Gilbert and two sisters, Dominga Renteria and Margie DeLaRosa.

She is survived by three sisters, Angie Howell of Shamrock, Paula Sotelo and husband Juan of Stinnett, and Janie Cantu and husband David of Austin, one brother, Ruben Garza and wife Lou of Amarillo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
