Lucas Agostinho Chicaia, 49, of Amarillo passed away on May 31, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas after suffering sudden cardiac arrest.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 1pm to 8pm at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10am at Comanche Trail Church of Christ, 2700 SE 34th in Amarillo with Tim Myers presiding. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Lucas was born on October 18, 1972 in Cabinda/Angola Africa to his late father Jose Alberto Chicaia and mother Delfina Mataia. He grew up surrounded by his large family that consisted of his one sister and three brothers. He studied at Congo/Brozzaville and earned his Bachelors Degree in Economy.
He worked in the dairy industry from 2015 to 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was forced to step away from work when his health declined and did not improve.
He met Rama G. Bouyi in 2010. The decided to live together until they were married in 2016 at the Jubilee Church in Omaha, Nebraska. The had three beautiful children together who they named Gideon Christ Chicaia, Joshua R. Chicaia, and Deborah Joyce Chicaia. Lucas was influenced by his family to be a loving and caring father. He liked to spend time with his family.
Lucas loved to read his bible, pray for and with others, laughing and always wearing a smile on his face.
Lucas leaves to cherish his loving memory to his wife Rama, and their three children Gideon, Joshua, and Deborah Chicaia.
