Larry Pickens Jr

Larry Pickens, 43, of Amarillo, TX passed away Friday, December 10, 2021.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Larry was born in Houston, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pickens, Sr. He resided in Amarillo and was self employed for home remodeling. Larry enjoyed cooking out and baking with one of his specialty meals being smoked brisket, pork ribs, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, and his pink cake. His favorite sports were football and basketball. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys Fan. Larry was always smiling and had the biggest heart; always going out of his way to help anyone in need. Larry loved his family so much until the end.

He is preceded in death by his paternal parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pickens, Sr.; and nephew, Jamar Hopkins.

Left to cherish Larry’s memories are his lovely wife, Cathy Rincon Pickens; father and mother in law, Santos and Martha Rincon; brother and sister in law, Nick and Julie Davila; nephew and niece, Brandon and Stacy Davila, all from Hereford, TX; and nephew and niece, Julian and Adrian from Levelland, TX; brother, Kyle Pickens of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Ricky Hopkins of Cuero, TX; nephews, Treven Hopkins, Michael Hopkins and Ricky Vurden; nieces, Jazzman Vurden, Alicia Pickens and Ellie Pickens; and a host of aunts, uncles and family friends.
