Katherine "Faye" (Garnes) Washington

Katherine "Faye" Washington, 68, of Amarillo, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on September 24, 2023.

Faye's life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Angel Funeral Home Chapel of Angels. 

Katherine “Faye” Washington was born on January 9, 1955, to Eudell Owens and Sam Garnes in Annona, Texas.

Faye was a caregiver and domestic worker for many years until her health failed. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She was a giving person, and you could count on her for anything. She loved cooking large meals and would give you the shirt off her back.

She is preceded in death by her father, Sam Garnes and Charlie Owens, sister Delores Owens, sister Gloria Gardner, grandson Kevin Jr. Flowers, and daughter Krystal Washington. She leaves to cherish her memories her Mother, Eudell Owens; two sons, Kevin Flowers (Sontrina) and Robert Washington; daughter, Donna Garns (Kenneth); two brothers, Henry Owens (Jackie) and Donald Owens, One sister Shannon King (Ralph); Five Grandkids, Nine Great grandkids. And her beloved best friend Ronald Davis, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.
