Jessie Cerda Jr, 43 of Amarillo passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Memorial service will be at 6:00 P.M. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Power Church with Pastor Manny officiating. Arrangements by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St. Amarillo, TX.

Jessie was born on April 16, 1978 In Amarillo, TX to Rebecca Cerda and the late Jessie Cerda Sr. He was raised in Amarillo. Jessie was a loving son, father, brother, papa and friend. He was known to everyone as “Chongo”.

Jessie is survived by his mother; brother, Richard Cerda and wife, Jessica; sister, Laura Cerda and wife, Desire; three children, Jesse Nicholas and wife, Paige Gomez, Tyler Jones, Kaytlynn Jones and husband, Jay’c Brown; four grandchildren, Rayleigh Gomez, Mathew Gomez, Alyana Jones and Avah Brown; four nephews and one niece, Ashton Reyes, Sophia Cerda, Dawson (arriving October 6, 2021) and Jakobi Cerda; mother of children, Annie Jones; special friends, Amanda Bowers and Daisy Griffin.

Jessie will be greatly missed.
