Eugene Cordero

Eugene R Cordero, Sr., 69 of Amarillo died December 26, 2019.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at New Life Church, 406 S. Pittsburg, following burial service at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Angel Funeral Home.

Eugene was born November 15, 1950 in Del Rio, Texas to Anastacio and Julia Cordero. He married on April 15, 1970 to Delia Alvarez in Hereford, Texas.  Eugene worked for the Globe News as a custodian for 22 years. He was a member of New Life Church.

Eugene Cordero was a hard-working man. He had a great sense of humor and loved cars. Family was everything to him. Eugene lived, moved and breathed for two things: his faith and his family. He loved his wife, kids and grandkids more than anything. They will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Anastacio and Julia; his sisters, Velma Segura and Lupita Mendoza.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Delia Cordero of Amarillo; daughter, Melissa Romack and husband, Jeremiah; daughter, Breanna Cordero and her life partner, Maggie and sons, Eugene Cordero, Jr. and wife, Salina;  Albert, Gabriel, Joel and Brian, all of Amarillo; siblings, Virginia. Maria, Juanita, Jesse, Joe and Cruz all of Amarillo; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
