David Lawrence Davis

David L. Davis, 86, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1518 E Central Avenue, Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St., Amarillo, Texas 79103.
Mr. Davis was born June 17, 1930 in Pampa, Texas then moved to Amarillo in 1968. Dave was a welder by trade but then became a skilled carpenter and built many wonderful things. He was a very caring and compassionate person who loved talking about his wonderful God, Jehovah, using the bible. He served as an Elder in the Pleasant Valley congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Dave will be truly missed by his family and all who knew him.
The family wishes to acknowledge and express gratitude for all the help and support they received from Jan Werner Adult Day Care, Skywest Assisted Living and Kirkland Court Nursing Home.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary; and his sister, Ardell Masters of Littleton, CO.
He is survived by two daughters, Rita Nolan and husband Louis of Rio Rancho, NM; Cindy Armstrong and husband Bruce of Amarillo; five granddaughters, Kristi Escoto of Arlington, TX, Mandy Soto and husband John Paul, Michelle Frazier and husband Shawn, Lindsey Davis and husband Cody and Gentri Armstrong, all of Amarillo and three great-grandchildren, Jake, Madison and Maci.
